Description
The SER (Service Entrance) Cable features stranded and compacted 8000 series aluminum alloy conductors, insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). Available in 2, 3, or 4-conductor configurations, with a bare ground wire, all elements are cabled together and bound by fiberglass-reinforced polyester tape. A grey, sunlight-resistant PVC outer sheath provides added protection and durability in demanding environments.
Application
Aluminum SER cables are widely used as panel feeders in residential and multi-unit buildings, and for other branch circuit installations. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, they comply with ASTM B800, ASTM B801, UL 44, and UL 854 standards. Their 600V voltage rating and 90°C operating temperature make them ideal for North American power distribution applications.
