8000 Series Aluminium Alloy Conductor Type RHH-2/USE-2 Cable
Description
The RHH/RHW-2/USE-2 cable consists of stranded compacted 8000 series aluminum alloy conductors insulated with black XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene). This insulation provides exceptional resistance to abrasion, moisture, heat, and chemicals, with a continuous operating temperature of up to 90°C and a voltage rating of 600V. The cable complies with ASTM B800, ASTM B801, UL 44, UL 854, and other relevant standards.
Lightweight and cost-efficient compared to copper, the RHH/RHW-2/USE-2 cable maintains robust electrical conductivity and mechanical durability. Its XLPE insulation ensures long-term reliability, high dielectric strength, and resistance to environmental degradation in both indoor and outdoor settings.
Application
The RHH/RHW-2/USE-2 cable is primarily used in service entrance, feeders, and branch circuits for permanent installations in residential, commercial, industrial, and transportation environments. It is ideal for underground service entrance (USE) in wet locations, direct burial setups, and outdoor applications requiring weather-resistant performance.
Suitable for dry and wet locations, this cable is widely applied in panel connections, HVAC systems, and lighting infrastructure. Its UL certification ensures acceptance in North America and regions adhering to NEC or equivalent electrical standards, such as Canada, Mexico, and parts of Southeast Asia.
